In the U.S. alone, more than a third of existing honeybee colonies have disappeared for the fourth year in a row. This phenomenon is caused by human actions like: using pesticides and chemicals on crops and building urban or residential areas, which takes away habitat space and food sources from the bees.
I researched to find which plants honeybees need most in order to maintain a healthy colony and designed a kit of seeds that even non-gardeners can easily sow in their backyards to help honeybees thrive.
After such a deep dive into honey bee research, I decided to become a beekeeper. I currently have five hives in my backyard.
I designed labels for honey bottles. Hand-drawn botanical illustrations reflect the homemade charm of Southern Buzz's honey. As a beekeeper, I view this interaction with nature as a part of my graphic design practice. Beekeeping and gardening for pollinators motivates me to learn more about the environment and to push myself towards a more sustainable lifestyle.

During the process of creating this brand, I started by researching the target audience—teenagers. This bowling alley, unlike most, is modern, hip, and sleek. I presented three different brand identities to clients and created a brand book for the one they liked most.

Developing a website for Spilt Milk, the band I created, required very strategic planning. From time management, to the wireframe and grid structure of the website, everything was thought out beforehand. I developed this responsive website from scratch using only HTML and CSS.
